By virtue of their broad training in all aspects of adult medicine, they are uniquely qualified to coordinate the complex care of patients requiring all types of cancer treatment, including radiation oncology services and surgery.
Whatever type or combination of therapy you receive, you will be cared for by a team of medical professionals dedicated to make sure you get the best possible results from treatment. Besides your medical oncologist, this team will include:
Oncology Nurse: a specially trained nurse with experience in the treatment and care of patients receiving chemotherapy.
Nurse Practitioner: a nurse practitioner works with your medical oncologist to administer your treatment plan and manage any side effects you might experience. Our nurse practitioner also provides you with information about your treatment and will see you during and after completing your treatment plan.
